Johnny B. Badd : Marvelous Marc Mero

Before Marc Mero had his WWE run, he was Johnny B. Badd in WCW. The flamboyant character with a chiseled physique and noteworthy athleticism became a fan favorite. Moreover, he has become one of the company's  forgotten heroes, particularly noteworthy for opening WCW PPVs for an extended stretch in the mid-1990s, because he could reliably hook the crowd via his charisma and flashy moveset. On one hand, Badd, hasn’t aged particularly well, becoming more of a point of trivia or a punchline when fans recall who Sable was married to before Brock Lesnar, or note that he was originally signed to WWE on a bigger money deal than Steve Austin. Looking back on Badd’s work, though, particularly, in WCW, there’s a real argument to be made that he was ahead of his time.
